Answer:  x^3+x^2+x+1

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the dividend is x^4+0x^3+0x^2+0x-1

While divisor is  x - 1

In the synthetic division,

We will follow the following steps,

Step 1) Write the coefficient of the dividend in the decreasing order of degree,

Hence, the element in the first row under the division sign are 1, 0, 0, 0, - 1

Step 2) By putting x - 1= 0, we get x = 1

Hence, write down 1 outside the sign,

Here the problem is set up correctly, So, bring the leading coefficient (first number) straight down.

Step 3)  Multiply the number in the division box with the number that we brought down and put the result in the next column. Then, Add the two numbers together and write the result in the bottom of the row.

Step 4) Repeat the third step until you get the last element ( here the last element is 0,

Thus, We get numbers in the third row, 1, 1, 1, 1 ( Except 0 )

⇒ Quotient is  x^3 + x^2 + x + 1

For the inverse variation equation p = StartFraction 8 Over V EndFraction, what is the value of V when p = one-half?
likoan [24]

Answer:

V=16

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that an inverse variation

p=\frac{8}{V}

We have to find the value of V when p=1/2

To find the value of V we will substitute the value of p

Substitute the value of p

Then, we get

\frac{1}{2}=\frac{8}{V}

\frac{V}{2}=8

Using multiplication property of equality

V=8\times 2

Using multiplication property of equality

V=16

Hence, the value of V=16

A. Kalisha made two dozen large buns. She ate 1/2 of a bun and gave her mother and father one each. How many buns does she have
REY [17]
A. Well she starts with 24 buns. She ate 1/2 half of a bun leaving 23 1/2 buns left. Then she gave her mother and father a bun each so you do 23 1/2 - 2 which gets you 21 1/2 buns. So the total number of buns that she has left is 21 and 1/2 buns.
