The drill used by most dentists today is powered by a smallair-turbine that can operate at angular speeds of 350000{\rm rpm}. Th

ese drills, along with ultrasonic dental drills,are the fastest turbines in the world-far exceeding the angularspeeds of jet engines. Suppose a drill starts at rest and comes upto operating speed in 1.9 s.
Find the angular acceleration produced by thedrill, assuming it to be constant.

Answer:

α = 3070rev/s^2

θ = 5541.66 revolutions

Explanation:

Given;

Operating angular speed w = 350000 rpm

time t = 1.9s

Angular acceleration = change in angular speed/time

Angular acceleration=350000rpm×1/60 min/sec ÷ 1.9s

Angular acceleration α = 3070rev/s^2

Number of revolutions θ = 1/2 × α × t^2

Since initial angular speed is zero

Substituting the values;

θ = 1/2 × 3070 × 1.9^2

θ = 5541.66 revolutions

You place a piece of aluminum at 250.0∘C ∘ C in 9.00 kg k g of liquid water at 20.0∘C ∘ C . None of the water boils, and the fin
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

m₁ = 0.37 kg

Explanation:

According to Law of conservation of energy:

Heat Lost by Aluminum = Heat Gained by Water

m₁C₁ΔT₁ = m₂C₂ΔT₂

where,

m₁ = mass of piece of aluminum = ?

C₁ = specific heat capacity of aluminum = 900 J/kg.°C

ΔT₁ = Change in temperature of aluminum = 250°C - 22°C = 228°C

m₂ = mass of water = 9 kg

C₂ = specific heat capacity of water = 4200 J/kg.°C

ΔT₁ = Change in temperature of aluminum = 22°C - 20°C = 2°C

Therefore,

m₁(900 J/kg.°C)(228 °C) = (9 kg)(4200 J/kg.°C)(2°C)

m₁ = (75600 J)/(205200 J/kg)

m₁ = 0.37 kg

Mr. Stephenson drives his car from Dallas to Town X, a distance of 437 km. The trip takes 7.27 hours. What is the average speed
klasskru [66]

Average speed = (distance covered) / (time to cover the distance).

Distance covered = 437 km = 437,000 meters

Time to cover the distance = (7.27 hrs) x (3600 sec/hr) = 26,172 seconds

Average speed = (437,000 meters) / (26,172 seconds)

Average speed = 16.7 m/s

What is the total of a 10 ohm, 20 ohm, and 200 ohms resistors connected in a parallel
Feliz [49]

Answer:

Answer is 6.452Ω

Explanation:

R1= 10Ω

R2= 20Ω

R3= 200Ω

1/R123= 1/R1+ 1/R2+ 1/R3

Find the LCM then find the inverse of the answer, then replace the values of the lettered resistors.

I hope this helps if not please let me know
