Negative ions are oxygen atoms charged with an extra electron. They are created in nature by the effects of water, air, sunlight and the Earth’s inherent radiation. We dont really create them in the human body.

A rectangle has a perimeter of 64 inches and a length of 22 inches. Which equation can you solve to find the width?
ella [17]
It's B because if one length is 22 then both lengths combined is 44 + the width. Since there are 2 of those, each are represented with w so basically you're adding 2w to the total length,44 which will end up to look like 44+ 2w

Han followed these instructions to make the image.
Reika [66]

Answer:

1. It is a straight line drawn with a straightedge and cuts across the lines.

2. Both drawn with the same compass width.

3. Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent.

Step-by-step explanation:

This construction works by using the fact that a transverse line drawn across two parallel lines creates pairs of equal corresponding angles. It uses this in reverse - by creating two equal corresponding angles, it can create the parallel lines.

This is how to construct a line parallel to a given line that passes through a given point with compass and straightedge or ruler. It is called the 'angle copy method' because it works by using the fact that a transverse line drawn across two parallel lines creates pairs of equal corresponding angles. It uses this in reverse - by creating two equal corresponding angles, it can create the parallel lines.

An equation of the circle whose center is the origin and
tankabanditka [31]

Answer:

\fbox{\begin{minipage}{10em}Option C is correct\end{minipage}}

Explanation:

A circle whose center is (a, b) and radius r, has equation:

(x - a)^{2} + (y - b)^{2} = r^{2}

The center of circle is  given as origin (0, 0), therefore:

a = 0\\b = 0

This circle passes (3, 0), then the radius of circle is the distance (d) between origin (0, 0) and (3, 0)

d = \sqrt{(0 - 3)^{2} + (0 - 0)^{2} } = \sqrt{3^{2} } = 3

=> r = d = 3

Substitute a, b, and r back into original equation:

(x - 0)^{2} + (y - 0)^{2}  = 3^{2}

or

x^{2} + y^{2} = 9

Hope this helps!

Factor the greatest common factor from the polynomial 3x^2 + 6x -9
ryzh [129]

Answer:

3(x+3)(x -1)

Step-by-step explanation:

3x^2 + 6x -9

All the terms in this polynomial are divisible by 3. Factor 3 out of this polynomial:

= 3(x^2 + 2x -3)

Now, factor inside the parentheses by grouping:

= 3(x^2 -1x+3x -3)

We knew to split the +2x up into -1x and 3x because -1 and 3 multiply to get -3, which is the last value in the polynomial.

= 3(x(x -1)+3(x -1))\\= 3(x+3)(x -1)

Therefore, the final factored polynomial is 3(x+3)(x -1).
