Directions: Type the correct answer in each box. Use numerals instead of words. If necessary, use / for the fraction bar(s). Cal

eb is planning a visit to an amusement park. He wants to figure out how many roller coasters he could ride and how many shows he can watch in 345 minutes. Each roller coaster takes 5 minutes to ride. He estimates that the average wait time for a roller coaster is 30 minutes. Caleb wants to ride 3 more roller coasters than the number of shows he watches. Each show takes 25 minutes. In 345 minutes, he can ride roller coasters and watch shows.

7 rollercoasters because 4 shows plus 3 more rolercoasters equal 7 and 4 shows .It takes 5 minutes to ride on the rollercoaster plus the estimated 30 minute wait equals 35 and 35*7=245 and it takes 25 minutes to watch show and 25*4=100 and 245+100=345 so he can ride 7 rollerecoasters and 4 shows in 345 minutes.

Maria mixes \frac{1}{4} cup white sugar and \frac{2}{3} cup brown sugar to make a topping for some muffins. She uses \frac{1}{12
Hoochie [10]

Answer: 11 muffins

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Maria mixes 1/4 cup white sugar with 2/3 cup brown sugar, this will give us a mixture of:

= 1/4 + 2/3

= 3/12 + 8/12

= 11/12

Ww are then told that she uses 1/12 cup of the mixture to top each muffin. Therefore, the number of muffins that she can top will be:

= 11/12 ÷ 1/12

= 11/12 × 12/1

= 12

She can top 11 muffins.

2(4 plus 2x) > 5x plus 5
blondinia [14]

Answer:

x ≤3

Step-by-step explanation:

2(4+ 2x)≥ 5x+ 5

distribute

8+4x ≥ 5x+ 5

Subtract 4x from each side

8+4x-4x≥ 5x-4x+ 5

8  ≥ x+ 5

Subtract 5 from each side

8-5 ≥ x+ 5-5

3 ≥ x

x ≤3

Find the mass of the triangular region with vertices (0, 0), (3, 0), and (0, 1), with density function ρ(x,y)=x2+y2.
ololo11 [35]

Since density is the ratio of mass to (in this case) area, we can find the mass of the triangular region \mathcal T by computing the double integral of the density function over \mathcal T:

\mathrm{mass}=\displaystyle\iint_{\mathcal T}\rho(x,y)\,\mathrm dx\,\mathrm dy

The boundary of \mathcal T is determined by a set of lines in the x,y plane. One way to describe the region \mathcal T is by the set of points,

\mathcal T=\left\{(x,y)\mid0\le x\le 3\,\land\,0\le y\le1-\dfrac x3\right\}

So the mass is

\mathrm{mass}=\displaystyle\int_{x=0}^{x=3}\int_{y=0}^{y=1-x/3}(x^2+y^2)\,\mathrm dy\,\mathrm dx

=\displaystyle\int_{x=0}^{x=3}\left(x^2y+\frac{y^3}3\right)\bigg|_{y=0}^{y=1-x/3}\,\mathrm dx

=\displaystyle\int_{x=0}^{x=3}\left(x^2\left(1-\frac x3\right)+\frac{\left(1-\frac x3\right)^3}3\right)\,\mathrm dx

=\displaystyle\frac1{81}\int_0^3(27-27x+90x^2-28x^3)\,\mathrm dx=\frac52
