Sum of n terms:-
Sn  = (n/2) [ 2a1 + d(n - 1)]
Sum of 30 terms:-
S30  = (30/2)[ 2*11 + 6(30-1)]

On a map 1 inch = 50 miles. If two cities are 3 1/2 inches apart, how many miles are they apart?
Ganezh [65]
I think 175 miles.
Since 1 = 50 miles and the cities are 3 1/2 miles apart, all you need to do is multiply 50 x 3 which is 150. Then you need to solve the 1/2, which 1/2 of 50 is 25. 150+25 is 175. So the answer is 175 miles.
