Answer:

During Interphase, the period or phase between the synthesis of new genetic material ( S phase) and the beginning of mitosis (M-Phase) is G2 Phase or Second Growth Phase.

Explanation:

A typical cell cycle consists of two basic phases-

 • I-Phase or Interphase - this is the long non-dividing phase when the cell grows in size and equips itself with all necessary molecules required for the cell division by duplicating them.
 • M-Phase or Mitotic Phase - this is the short phase and represents the phase of actual cell division. It is the stage of separation of already duplicated components.

The long interphase can again be subdivided into three stages or sub-phases, which are-

 1. G1 Phase ( First Growth phase or Post Mitotic Gap Phase) - This is the longest phase of interphase. Constant metabolism occurs inside the cell and continuous growth of the cell happens. During this phase, the amino acids, energy-rich molecules like ATP and nucleotides are formed.
 2. S Phase ( Synthesis Phase) - As the name suggests, this phase is when synthesis or duplication of the genetic material occurs. DNA duplication, growth of nucleus, replication of chromosomes and centriole replication are some major events that happen during this phase.
 3. G2 Phase ( Second Growth phase or Pre-Mitotic Gap Phase) - In this phase, the synthesis of DNA stops. Formation of RNAs and proteins continue during this phase. The cell prepares itself to enter the mitotic phase or dividing phase.

The period you’ve described would be the G2 phase which is considered a “checkpoint” that determines whether or not a cell can enter the mitosis phase

creativ13 [48]
The correct answer is letter C, in most primates, the inability to move the ear has been replaced by the ability to stand upright on two legs. This is because movement was much of a need to these primates than hunting for food. They needed to be agile to locate specific places where sources of food are abundant.

A species that humans bring to an area where it did not previously occur is a(an):_________
Tasya [4]

A species that humans bring to an area where it did not previously occur is a(an): exotic species.

Exotic species are those that exist outside of their native geographic range, also known as alien, nonnative, nonindigenous, or introduced species. Exotic species are those that people have purposefully or accidentally introduced into ecosystems outside of the ones in which they have evolved. These introductions undoubtedly happen regularly in nature.

For instance, the Japanese native Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) was brought to the United States in 1876. Due to either a lack of imported individuals or inadequate adaptation to the ecosystem they join, the majority of attempts to introduce exotic species are likely to be unsuccessful. However, some species have preadaptations that can help them thrive even more in a novel setting.
