Answer:

c.\hspace{3}x=12

Step-by-step explanation:

Isosceles triangles are a type of triangles in which two of their sides have an identical length. It should be noted that the angles opposite the sides that are the same length are also the same. This means that these triangles not only have two equal sides, but also two equal angles.

You can solve this problem using different methods, I will use pythagorean theorem. First take a look at the picture I attached.  As you can see:

x=2a

And we can find a easily using pythagorean theorem:

(\sqrt{45} )^{2} =3^{2} +a^{2}

Solving for a:

a^{2} =(\sqrt{45} )^{2} -3^{2} \\\\a^{2} =45-9\\\\

a^{2} =36\\\\a=\sqrt{36} \\\\a=6

Therefore:

x=2a\\\\x=2(6)\\\\x=12

What is the solution to the inequality?
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

Oc. x>11

Step-by-step explanation:

Subtract 4 from 4 which will give you 0, then subtract 4 from 15 which should give you 11. x is still greater than 11. You don't switch the signs unless you're dividing or multiplying by a negative number. Hope this helps.

A cylindrical water trough has a diameter of 6 feet and a height of 2 feet. It is being filled at the rate of 4 ft^3/min. How fa
viva [34]
Volume of Cylinder V = πr²h

diameter = 6 feet, radius = 6/2 = 3 feet

dV/dt =  (dV/dh) * (dh/dt)  by change rule.

V =  <span>πr²h

dV/dh =  </span>πr² = π*3² = 9π  ft²<span>

dV/dt = 2 ft</span>³/min

<span>dV/dt =  (dV/dh) * (dh/dt)
</span>
2 ft³/min = 9π ft²   * (dh/dt)

9π ft²   * (dh/dt) = 2 ft<span>³/min
</span>
(dh/dt) = (2 ft³/min)/(9π ft<span>²)

(dh/dt) = (2/</span>9π)  ft/min

So the water level is rising at  (2/9<span>π)  ft/min.</span>
