Can someone show me how this works I don’t understand this Lesson
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Each dot represents a student, and the numbers along the bottom are "Baseball Games Attended". There is 1 dot over the number 0. That means that 1 student did not attend any games at all. There are 2 dots over the number 1. That means that 2 students attended 1 game.

If you count the number of dots, you will get the total number of students in Mrs. Brown's class. There 18 total students in her class. Now let's answer the questions.

For a. We want to compare the total number of students that attended 6 or more games to the number that attended 1 or less.

4 students attended 6 games, 2 students attended 7 games, and 3 students attended 8 games so 4 + 2 + 3 = 9 students attended 6 or more games.

2 students attended 1 game and 1 student attended 0 games so 2 + 1 = 3

A total of 6 more students attended 6 or more games than the number that attended 1 or less games.

For b. We want the reduced ratio of the number of students that attended 4 games. 3 students attended 4 games. There are 18 total students, so the fraction is 3/18 which reduces to 1/6.

For c. We want kind of the same thing as we did for b, except we want the ratio of the total number of students, 18, to the number of students who attended 6 games, 4. That ratio is 18/4 which reduces to 9/2.

3x+4(-4x+4)= -75

Please solve
exis [7]
3x+4(-4x+4)=-75

Order of operations requires distribution first:
3x+ -16x+16=-75

Then add common terms:
-13x+16=-75

Subtract 16 from both sides:
-13x = -91

Divide by -13 from both sides:
x = 7
