The volume of the mineral = increase in volume of the water whuich is 16 - 8 = 8mls.

Therefore the  mineral's density = 9.6 / 8

= 1.2 g/ ml   answer

<h2>Answer:</h2>

The density of mineral is:

                        1.2 g/mL

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

It is given that:

when a mineral with mass 9.6 g is placed in a cylinder with 8.0 mL of water then the water level rises to:  16.0 mL

This means that:

    The volume of mineral is:

Volume of the water level after the mineral-Original volume of water in cylinder.

=   16-8

= 8 mL

Now, we know that the density of a substance is the ratio of mass to volume .

i.e.

\text{Density}=\dfrac{\text{Mass}}{\text{Volume}}

Hence, the density of substance will be:

\text{Density}=\dfrac{9.6}{8}g/mL

i.e.

\text{Density}=1.2g/mL

What is
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

Standard form of the equation is:

∴ 3x+y=23

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation:

y-2=-3(x-7)

To convert the given equation to standard form of equation:

A(x)+B(y)=c

Using distribution.

y-2=(-3x)+(-3\times-7)

y-2=-3x+21

Adding 2 both sides.

y-2+2=-3x+21+2

y=-3x+23

Adding 3x to both sides.

3x+y=3x-3x+23

∴ 3x+y=23

Logx(8x-3)-logx 4=2<br> please help ill give you everything i have !!
Gelneren [198K]
Logx (8x-3) - logx 4 = 2
logx [(8x-3)/4] = 2
x^2=(8x-3)/4
4x^2=4(8x-3)/4
4x^2=8x-3
4x^2-8x+3=8x-3-8x+3
4x^2-8x+3=0
4(4x^2-8x+3=0)
(4^2)(x^2)-8(4x)+12=0
(4x)^2-8(4x)+12=0
(4x-2)(4x-6)=0
2(4x/2-2/2)2(4x/2-6/2)=0
4(2x-1)(2x-3)=0
4(2x-1)(2x-3)/4=0/4
(2x-1)(2x-3)=0
Two options:
1) 2x-1=0
2x-1+1=0+1
2x=1
2x/2=1/2
x=1/2

2) 2x-3=0
2x-3+3=0+3
2x=3
2x/2=3/2
x=3/2

Answer: Two solutions: x=1/2 and x=3/2
