Cognitive can be interpreted by the ability to understand and also know something. Cognitive development refers to the ability a child has to know something.

Further explanation

CONCRETE OPERATIONAL STAGE

Childhood is a period of individual growth & development. One of the individual developments that must be passed & experienced is cognitive development. Cognitive development approaches emphasize how individuals actively shape their way of thinking. That approach is also very focused on how individuals think or change according to one point at the next development.

Piaget revealed that children will actively shape their own global cognitive. Like having mental actions or achievements that train the brain to develop and form schemes about how people are able to perceive their environment.

This stage begins around the age of 7-11 years, in this stage children begin to think of ways to think logically & intuitively in the representation of concepts based on reality that make concrete or specific examples. To avoid the limitations of thinking children need to be given a concrete picture, so he can be able to overcome the problems that occur. however 7-12 years old children still have problems regarding abstract thinking.

Children's cognitive development is also influenced by age, gender, race, culture, and nutritional intake.

Compare the coattail effect with the reverse coattail effect.
Lina20 [59]

The coattail effect is defined as the inclination for a well-known political party pioneer to pull in votes in favor of different applicants of a similar party in a decision. For instance, in the United States, the gathering of a successful presidential hopeful will frequently win numerous seats in Congress also; these Members of Congress are casted a ballot into office "on the coattails" of the president.

On the contrary, a new conception of this tendency is the reverse coattail effect, that initially was a term authored by Ames (1994) and it is more specifically understood as managing the ability of neighborhood party associations to transfer votes to upper dimensions party candidates by focusing on the causal appointive impact of electing a mayor over subsequent statewide relative elections.

A good example of this is the office day national run in Virginia, where as quoted from Huffpost newspaper: “These victories provided an enormous boost to statewide candidates. In districts with highly competitive Delegate races in Virginia, Democratic vote turnout increased by 40 percent. That is a phenomenon that we refer to as “reverse coattails.” Essentially, it means that the folks running for state and local offices were responsible for increasing turnout for statewide candidates like Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General. In all but one of our Virginia House races, our candidates performed better than Gov. McAuliffe did in 2013.”

lana [24]

Answer:

he has fantom pain and that he isn't crazy. when he lost his arm below elbow, the pathway to hand had been severed and the brain still thinks the pathway is going to his hand

Explanation:

Your uncle still has the surviving parts of the sensory pathway that once served the entire arm. This mayinclude the primary sensory neurons, since the severed axons could have regenerated (but even if thesecells degenerated, the remainder of the pathway did not). Anything that stimulates the sensory nerve inthe stump may cause signals to go to the area of the cerebral cortex that once received inputs only fromthe hand. Your uncle is not crazy, rather he is experiencing phantom limb pain, which is very real. Thisphenomenon illustrates labeled line coding and coding of stimulus location.
