of every 200 video machines are faulty.
A) if I check two TV's and 1 video machine at random, what's the probability that exactly one of them is faulty?

B) how many TV's must be checked so that the probability of at least one being faulty is greater than 0.95.

A. 1 out of 60 for the tv, 1 out of 25 for the video. This comes to 2/85 that one is faulty. B. 286, since 285 has exactly a .95 chance

ZanzabumX [31]
There are 4 quarters in dollars. Keep that in mind.

Since Taylor is spending no more than 17 dollars, she probably only has 17 dollars. We already know that she has 8 dollars in bills, so we can subtract 8 dollars from 17 dollars because we need to find the amount of dollars in quarters.

The answer for that is 9 dollars. Since there are 4 quarters in the dollars, you need to multiply 9 by 4 to find the amount of quarters.

A number cube is rolled three times. What is the probability of rolling three even numbers?
ziro4ka [17]
It depends on how many numbers are on the cube. If the cube goes up to five then you have a 2/5 chance to roll an even number one time. If the dice goes up to 10 then you have 5/10 chance of rolling an even number.

3. A kite is aloft at the end of a 1500 foot string. The string make an angle of 43° with the
sineoko [7]

Answer:

h= 1500\,*\,sin(43^o)

Step-by-step explanation:

Notice that there is a right angle triangle formed with sides as follows:

hypotenuse is the actual 1500 ft string. The acute angle 43 degrees is opposite to the segment that represents the height of the kite from the ground. Therefore, the trigonometric ratio that we can use to find that opposite side to the given angle, is the sine function as shown below:

sin(43^o) = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse} \\sin(43^o) = \frac{opposite}{1500}\\opposite = 1500\,*\,sin(43^o)\\h= 1500\,*\,sin(43^o)
