Answer:

                             π

V-foam = 4r³( 2 - ----- )

                             3

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the radius of the sphere be r. Then the volume of the sphere is

V = (4/3)(π)(r³).

Next, recognize that the side length of the cube is 2r, and that the volume of the cube is thus

V = (2r)³, or 8r³.

Then the volume of the foam is equal to the volume of the cube less the volume of the sphere:

V-foam = 8r³ - (4/3)(π)(r³).  This could be factored into

                             π

V-foam = 4r³( 2 - ----- )

                             3

There are 3 times as many dogs as cats.
vazorg [7]

Answer:

there are 12 dogs.

Step-by-step explanation:

d= dogs now plug in the 4 into your equation.

c= cats                  d=3(4)

d+c=16                   d=12

3c+c=16

4c=16 SO THEREFORE THERE ARE 12 DOGS :)

c=4

Please help!! (Number 73)
Rasek [7]
So hmm notice the picture below

one is 7x5x1.75 the volume of a rectangular prism is V = length * width * height

so 7*5*1.75 gives us 61.25 ft³

the second one, is larger by some width and length we dunno, but we know that it required that 61.25 plus an extra 17.5 to fill it up, so its volume is 61.25 + 17.5 or 78.75

the height is the same... so \bf V=l\cdot w\cdot h\qquad
\begin{cases}
l=length\\
w=width\\
h=height\\ --------\\
h=1.75\\
V=78.75
\end{cases}\implies 78.75=lw\cdot 1.75
\\\\\\
\cfrac{78.75}{1.75}=lw\implies 45=lw

so.. if you factor 45, to two factors, one will be the length, the other the width

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-2,5) and (3,-4) in the standard (x,y) coordinate plane
Scorpion4ik [409]

To find the slope between two coordinates, you use the formula:

m = y2 - y1/x2 - x1

If coordinate A is (-2, 5) and coordinate B is (3, -4), then:

y2 = -4

y1 = 5

x2 = 3

x1 = -2

So, just substitute the points into the formula.

m = -4 - 5/3 - (-2)

m = -9/5

The slope of the line is -9/5.
