I'm going to show you two ways to do it.
Way #1 is the slogging way.
Way #2 is the clever way.

Way #1:

' One hundred percent ' means ALL of something.
ALL of the students in the school is the same as 100% of them.
If 10% are absent, then 90% are present.
90% means  0.9  .

                               1620 students  =  90% of the school.

                                            1620  =  0.9 x school total

Divide each side by 0.9:     1620/0.9 = total school

                                             1800  =  total school

How many were absent ?
10% of them.
10%  means  0.10  .

                         0.10  x  1800  =  180 students absent .

Way #2:

' One hundred percent ' means ALL of something.
ALL of the students in the school is the same as 100% of them.

==> If 10% are absent, then 90% are present.

==> The number of students present is  9 times  the number who are absent.

                                            1620 = 9 x the number absent

Divide each side by  9 :    1620 / 9  =    the number absent

                                       1620 / 9  =  180 absent .

What is m∠G to the nearest tenth? A right angle triangle EFG. The length of EF is 28.2 and GF is 45.8. Angle GFE is given as 90
mixas84 [53]

Answer:

31.6°

Step-by-step explanation:

The triangle given us a right angled Triangle

We solve the above question using the trigonometric function of Tangent

The formula is given as:

tan θ = opp/adj

θ = m∠G = ?

Opposite = EF is 28.2

Adjacent = GF is 45.8

tan θ = 28.2/45.8

θ = arc tan (28.2/45.8)

θ = 31.621459805°

Approximately

m∠G = 31.6°

It took Reza 2 hours to edit 6 math
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

135

Step-by-step explanation:

My method 45 hours - 1  so i could divide by 2 because its 2 hours every 6 problems and 1 hour would be 3 math problems we can add that to the total

44 / 2 = 22, 22 * 6 = 132, 132 + 3 = 135

Alternate method

45 * 3 = 135

3) adjacent
x = 180 - 34 = 146

4)adjacent

x = 90 - 74 = 16

6)supplementary

2x + 5 + 75 = 180

2x + 80 = 180
2x = 100
x = 50
