Given a number n, the addititive inverse is -n since n+(-n)=0. However
n+(-n) is the same as n-n which is 0 also.
SO adding the additive inverse it the same as subtracting

insens350 [35]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

f(-9+h)= (-9+h)² = h²-18h+81

f(-9+h)-f(-9)=h²-18h+81 -81 because : f(-9) = (-9)² = 81

f(-9+h)-f(-9)=h²-18h

(f(-9+h)-f(-9))/h=(h²-18h)/h = h(h-18)/h =h-18

lim  (f(-9+h)-f(-9))/h = lim(h-18= - 18

h→0                             h→0

Part A: If (7^2)^x = 1, what is the value of x? Explain your answer. (10 points)
Alex777 [14]
Answers:Part A: The value of x is 0.Part B: X can be any real number.
In Part A, you have to first evaluate 7^2. This is 49. Now, write the equation 49^x = 1. We know that if you raise any number to 0, then the answer is 1.
In Part B, you have to first evaluate 7^0, that is 1. Now, we have the equation 1^x = 1. In this case, 1 raised to any exponent is still only 1. Imagine 1^17, this would be 1 times itself 17 times or just 1.
Therefore any number will work in Part B.
