Actually the circumference of a circle is :

C =2Pi*r

Where r = radius, the radius term r, was missing in your expression.

C = 2Pi*r

7.68 = 2*3.14*r

2*3.14*r = 7.68

6.28r = 7.68

r = 7.68 / 6.28

<span>r ≈ 1.223

So in solving for the missing variable, </span><span>r ≈ 1.223

Hope this explains it.</span>

Zoe used 3/8 of her ribbon to wrap a present. If she uses 9 feet of ribbon for the present how much ribbon did Zoe have it first
MArishka [77]

Let the total ribbon Zoe had was x feet.

Out of x feet, she used 3/8 part of it.

Hence, \frac{3x}{8}

3/8 part of the original ribbon is equal to 9 feet.

Hence, we get

\frac{3x}{8} = 9

=> Multiply 8 on both sides.

3x=72

Divide both sides by 3

\frac{3x}{3}=\frac{72}{3}

x=24 ft

Zoe had 24 feet of ribbon in starting... Answer
