The length of the railroad is 1km and it expands 10cm. To solve this problem, you have to create a right triangle. You can do this by cutting everything in half. Your hypotenuse will be 1/2km + 5cm, one of the legs will be 1/2km. To make everything simple, I converted everything into meters. So you will have 500m + .05m as the hypotenuse and 500m as one of the legs. Use the Pythagorean theorem to solve for the other leg. Do not round your answer. My teacher emailed me a hint to answering the question. She cahnged everything to meters.

use Pythagoras theorem to solve for the other leg. that is your answer. Your teacher spelled it out for you.

Is the relation in this table a function. Explain<br> Input: 2,4,6,8,10<br> output: 1,2,3,4,3
ANEK [815]

Answer:

Yes.

Step-by-step explanation:

This relation is a function because each input has one and only one output, i.e. 2 yields 1, 4 yields 2, 6 yields 3, 8 yields 4 and 10 has an output of 3. Therefore, it is a function.

Based on the similar triangles shown below, Theodore claims that ∆TUV is transformed to ∆WXY with a scale factor of 32. Is Theod
vazorg [7]

Answer:

No, the triangles are similar with a scale factor of ⅔

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that ∆TUV was transformed to ∆WXY, it means the original lengths of ∆TUV were multiplied by a scale factor that reduced the lengths of ∆TUV to get the lengths of ∆WXY.

AA scale factor of ³/2 will increase the lengths rather than reduce it.

Therefore, the scale factor that was used was ⅔.

Thus, ⅔ of UT will give you the size of XW. Check it out below:

UT = 12, therefore, ⅔*12 = 8.

Write in slope-intercept form an equation of the line that passes through the points (−6,−3) and (18,1).
Brilliant_brown [7]

6x-y+33=0

Step-by-step explanation:

m=y2-y1/x1-x2

m=1-(-3)/18-(-6)

m=4/24m=6

m=y-y1/x-x1

6=y-y1/x-x1

6x-y+33=0

What is the domain of f(x)?
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:Domain is the set of x values in which the function exists. Range is the set of y values in which the function exists. f(x) = 8 / (x + 9) Since the denominator cannot be zero, we set the denominator equal to zero.
