A train traveling at a constant speed takes a passenger from Grover to Auburn, stopping first at Tyler and next at Elena before

arriving at Auburn. While it takes the same time to travel from Tyler to Elena as it does to travel from Grover to Tyler, it takes only one-fourth the time of either of those trips to travel from Elena to Auburn. How far is the ride from Tyler to Auburn if the entire trip is 450 miles? Name a geometric postulate or theorem used to find the solution.
A.
250 miles; midpoint theorem
B.
250 miles; segment addition postulate
C.
360 miles; midpoint theorem
D.
360 miles; segment addition postulate

Thank you for posting your question here at brainly. Among the choices provided above if to name a geometric postulate or theorem used to find the solution if the distance of the ride from Tyler to Auburn if the entire trip is 450 miles is the 250 miles; segment addition postulate.

The answer is B. I hope it helps.

katen-ka-za [31]
I got X=11

Minus 7x on both sides
The equation the becomes :
-2x +179=157
Subtract 179 from both sides
Equation now is:
-2x= -22
Divide -2 on both sides
X= 11

Can someone help me solve for x on number 18 and explain how you did it thank you ;)
torisob [31]

Answer:

x = 19°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that < (6x + 1)° + < (3x + 8)° are supplementary angles whose sum = 180°

6x + 1 + 3x + 8 = 180°

Add common terms:

9x + 9 = 180°

Subtract 9 from both sides:

9x + 9 - 9 = 180° - 9

9x = 171°

Divide both sides by 9 to solve for x:

\frac{9x}{9} = \frac{171}{9}

x = 19°

Solve the inequality state your answer algebraicly and in interval notation
4(n-3)-2n<-10+2n
AlexFokin [52]

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

Expand L side to get

4n -12   -2n  <  -10 + 2n     simplify L side

2n -12   <  -10 +2n      subtract 2n from both sides

-12 < -10     <===== so the equation is true for ALL n

(-∞  ,  + ∞ )

Please help soon!!! Will mark brainliest!!!
BartSMP [9]

REVISED ANSWER.

In the picture, I have drawn on the example given. the RC and PD are the same because They are across from each other perfectly. So the answer is still PD=400m but if there can be two answers then I would have to say another possiblity would be 200m for the diameter of the pond. The wording of this problem is tricky and the picture can throw you off a bit but I did my best to answer properly here.

So if you could mark brainliest that would be awesome.
