Answer: b. concentrated

Explanation: A solution is made by mixing two components, solute and solvent. The component which is present in less quantity is called as solute and the component which is present in large quantity is called as solvent. Thus here powdered ice tea is solute and water is solvent.

A solution is said to be concentrated if more amount of solute is added to a solution and it is said to be dilute if  more amount of solvent is added to a solution.

Thus when powdered mix is added, more solute is added and thus the solution get concentrated.

Ferris & Mona used the ORP sensor to titrate a ferrous ammonium sulfate solution, (NH4)2Fe(SO4)2 with KMnO4 titrant.
DIA [1.3K]

Answer:

The correct option is: A. 0.168 M

Explanation:

Chemical reaction involved:

5 Fe²⁺ (aq) + MnO₄⁻ (aq) + 8 H⁺ (aq) → 5 Fe³⁺ (aq) + Mn²⁺ (aq) + 4 H₂O

Given: <u>For MnO₄⁻ solution</u>-

Number of moles: n₁ = 1, Volume: V₁ = 20.2 mL, Concentration: M₁ = 0.0250 M;

<u>For Fe²⁺ solution</u>:

Number of moles: n₂ = 5, Volume: V₂ = 15 mL, Concentration: M₂ = ?M

<u><em>To find out the concentration of Fe²⁺ solution (M₂), we use the equation:</em></u>

\frac{M_{1}\times V_{1}}{n_{1}} = \frac{M_{2}\times V_{2}}{n_{2}}

\frac{0.0250 M\times 20.2 mL}{1} = \frac{M_{2}\times 15 mL}{5}

0.505 = M_{2}\times 3

M_{2} = \frac{0.505}{3} = 0.168M

<u>Therefore, the concentration or molarity of Fe²⁺ solution: </u><u>M₂ = 0.168 M</u>

What is soil? where do the water and nutrients found in the soil come from?
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

Soil is a mixture of organic matter, minerals, gases, liquids, and organisms that together support life.

We get these from the plants that grow, and the animals that we eat that eat the plants. Most soils have a large supply of nutrients in them, and they get taken up by plants when plants absorb water. Soils need to be healthy to grow large quantities of plants, and animals need plants to grow strong.

At 25.0°c, a solution has a concentration of 3.179 m and a density of 1.260 g/ml. the density of the solution at 50.0°c is 1.249
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer: -

3.151 M

Explanation: -

Let the volume of the solution be 1000 mL.

At 25.0 °C, Density = 1.260 g/ mL

Mass of the solution = Density x volume

= 1.260 g / mL x 1000 mL

= 1260 g

At 25.0 °C, the molarity = 3.179 M

Number of moles present per 1000 mL = 3.179 mol

Strength of the solution in g / mol

= 1260 g / 3.179 mol = 396.35 g / mol (at 25.0 °C)

Now at 50.0 °C

The density is 1.249 g/ mL

Mass of the solution = density x volume = 1.249 g / mL x 1000 mL

= 1249 g.

Number of moles present in 1249 g = Mass of the solution / Strength in g /mol

= \frac{1249 g}{396.35 g/mol}

= 3.151 moles.

So 3.151 moles is present in 1000 mL at 50.0 °C

Molarity at 50.0 °C = 3.151 M
