In your equation 85x - 15 . . . .

 - The 85 is the score that Jake makes each time.
 - The x is the number of tests Jake takes.
 - And the -15 means that you would subtract 15 from Jake's total score (85x)
 - All this will equal your answer to the equation which is Mikes total score.

The question is asking what does x represent.
Therefor the answer would be B. The total number of tests Jake took

Hope this helps! :)

I need help with this one math question please!
den301095 [7]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming the fractions are being multiplied

Factorise the denominators of both fractions

x² - 3x - 10 = (x - 5)(x + 2)

x² + x - 12 = (x + 4)(x - 3)

The product can now be expressed as

\frac{x-5}{(x-5)(x+2)} × \frac{x+2}{(x+4)(x-3)}

Cancel (x - 5) and (x + 2) on the numerators/ denominators, leaving

\frac{1}{(x+4)(x-3)} = \frac{1}{x^2+x-12}

A triangle has two sides of lengths 7 and 12. What value could the length of
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

A. 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the triangle sides are not defined, therefore let the base side have the 12 unit and one of the slant side be 7 unit.

Therefore height of the triangle, h can gotten from the Pythagoras theorem as thus:

7² = (12/2)² + h²

49 = 36 + h²

h² = 49 - 36 = 13

h = √13

knowing the height of the triangle, we can apply same rule to the other unknown slant side, x as thus:

x² = (12/2)² + h²

x² = 36 + 13 = 49

x = √49

x = 7
