Answer:

51.69 hours (see explanation)

Step-by-step explanation:

This question is simple once you break it down:

84 boxes in 312 hours is a rate, so it can be shown in fraction form:

84 boxes / 312 hours

Now to figure out how long it takes to unpack those 192 boxes, just multiply:

192 x 84/312

(192 x 84) / 312

16128 / 312

Now, just divide the numbers:

16128 ÷ 312 = 51.69 hours

Answer:

I don't know if you have ever watched Stranger Things, but this question makes me thing of one of the main characters in season 2: Bob Newbie... Lolz my fave....

anyways, if Bob had to pack 192 boxes but he had already packed 84 boxes in a time of 312 hours... (do you mean 3.12? because there is not 312 hours in a day...) let x be the length of time it takes to pack the remaining boxes. and create a formula like this: 192/84 = 3.12/x

to find x, cross multiply:

192x=84(3.12) = 262.08

Then isolate x

192/x = x

what you do to one side of the equation, do to the other, so divide 262.08/192=1.365

then depending on the situation, round 1.365 by whatever your assignment says to do.

"Easy peasy, right?" -Bob Newbie -Stranger Things 2  Sorry, i just had to do that reference...

So if i was correct on how to solve this, it should have taken Bob 1.365 hours to pack up the remaining boxes.

This is just how I would first think of solving this, but i'm no expert. all i can say is good luck. :)

sarah, natasha and richard share some sweets in the ratio 5:2:4. sarah gets 60 sweets. how many did richard get?
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

48 sweets

Step-by-step explanation:

5:2:4

Sarah: 5

Natasha:2

Richard:4

To find out how many sweets Richard got, we need to use 60 as the lcm. Since, we have a definite constant of 60 we need to divide it by the presiding ratio.

60/5 = 12

That means for a ratio of 1, everyone in the group recieves 12.

Now, we plug it in for each of the members.

5x = Sarah

2x = Natasha

4x = Richard

Sarah = 60 sweets

Natasha = 24 sweets

Richard = 48 sweets

How to use replacement in probability
dolphi86 [110]

Step-by-step explanation:

Replacement means the probability of each trial is the same (the trials are independent).

For example, let's say you have a standard deck of 52 cards, and you want to find the probability of drawing a queen card twice.

There are 4 queens, so the probability on the first draw is 4/52.

You then replace the queen, so there are still 4 queens in the deck.  So the probability on the second draw is still 4/52.

The total probability is the product: 4/52 × 4/52 = 1/169

If you didn't replace the queen after the first draw, there would have been 3 queens in the deck, and the probability on the second draw would have been 3/52.
