Hello!

7 1/2 hours is the same as 7.5 hours

Multiply this by how fast the car was going

60 * 7.5 = 450

The answer is 450 miles

Hope this helps!

Midsegment of triangle
Find X
Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

10 = x

Step-by-step explanation:

This is what is called the Midsegment Theorem, which states that the relation of a triangle's midpunkt is parallel to the triangle's third side, and the mid-segment length is half the third side length, so you would take half of 4x + 20 and set that expression equal to the midsegment:

2x + 10 = 3x

-2x - 2x

____________

10 = x

You then plug this back into both expressions above to get the double-segment of 60 and the mid-segment of 30. We can tell this is correct because 30 and 60 are relatively proportional to each other.

The product of a number and 4 increased by 16 is -2
NikAS [45]

Let n = the unknown number

"The product of a number and 4" = 4 * n = 4n

"increased by 16" = + 16

Set it all equal to - 2.

4n + 16 = - 2

Subtract 16 from both sides to get constants on one side and variables on the other.

4n = - 2 - 16

Combine like terms:

4n = - 18

Divide both sides by 4 to isolate variable n.

n = - 18 / 4

= - 4 and 2/4 = - 4 and 1/2

Which represents the solution(s) of the graphed system of equations, y = x2 x – 2 and y = 2x – 2? (–2, 0) and (0, 1) (0, –2) and
Marysya12 [62]

The solution to the system of equation are (0, -2) and (1, 0)

Solution to system of equations

System of equations are equations that has unknown and more than 1 equations.

Given the system of equations

y = x^2 + x – 2

y = 2x – 2

Equate both expressions

x^2 + x -2 = 2x - 2
x^2 - x = 0
x(x-1) = 0
x = 0 and x - 1 = 0
x = 0 and 1

If x = 0

y = 0 - 2 = -2

If x = 1

y = 2 - 2 = 0
Hence the solution to the system of equation are (0, -2) and (1, 0)
