B. 2\frac{1}{4} pounds of sauce will be used if the restaurant uses 1 pound of dough.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

The restaurant needs 1\frac{1}{2} ounces of sauce for every \frac{2}{3} pounds of dough.

To determine the amount of sauce needed for a pound of dough, we divide the 1\frac{1}{2} with the \frac{2}{3}.

Step 2:

The sauce needed for 1 pound of dough =\frac{1 \frac{1}{2} }{\frac{2}{3} }.

We must convert the mixed fractions into improper fractions. To do that we multiply the number with the denominator and add with it the numerator whereas the denominator remains the same. To convert the fraction 1\frac{1}{2} = \frac{(1)(2)+1}{2} = \frac{3}{2} .

So the sauce needed for 1 pound of dough =\frac{\frac{3}{2} }{\frac{2}{3} } = (\frac{3}{2} )(\frac{3}{2} )= \frac{9}{4} .

\frac{9}{4} can also be written as 2\frac{1}{4}. So 2\frac{1}{4} pounds of sauce is used for a pound of dough.

How do you solve compound event please hurry
egoroff_w [7]
There are different formulas for calculating the two types of compound events: Say A and B are two events, then for mutually exclusive events: P(A or B) = P (A) + P(B). For mutually inclusive events, P (A or B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A and B).

This is a sketch of the curve with equation y = f(x).
Katen [24]

Answer:

We have to use the formule to calculate the vertex which is: V(-b/2a;4ac-b^2/4a)

A) y=x+7 where a=1 b=0 and c=7

By replacing we have: V(0;28/4) V(0;7)

B) y=-x where a=-1 b and c=0 so V(0,0)
