a. that are all affected

Since the father is homozygous dominant (AA), and he is affected, that means that the disorder (or whatever it is), is autosomal dominant (plus it directly tells you that). That means it is not carried on the sex chromosomes. Since every child he has will inherit one of his alleles, they will all be affected by having at least the one.

True or False. The splitting of an ATP molecule (energy release: ATP - ADP + P + energy ) requires O2.
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

False

Explanation:

Splitting of an ATP molecule into ADP occurs through hydrolysis. It is an exergonic reaction that breaks the phosphate bond of ATP to release terminal phosphate. The energy released during breaking the bond is used to drive other endergonic processes.

However, ATP hydrolysis is independent of the presence of oxygen. This means that splitting of ATP into ADP and inorganic phosphate does not require the presence of oxygen.

Which of these descriptions of the behavior of chromosomes during meiosis explains mendel's law of segregation?
sammy [17]
The arrangement of each pair of homologous chromosomes on the metaphase plate during metaphase I is random with respect to the arrangement of others pairs. The mendel's law of segration, states that allele pairs separate or segregate during gamete formation, and randomly unite at fertilization.

Based on her pre-pregnancy weight, if she is carrying a single baby, how much weight should sadie gain during her pregnancy?
fomenos
The number of weight gained in pregnancy should be different based on the BMI. Assuming Sadie BMI is 25-29.9kg/m2 then the normal weight gain for single pregnancy would be 15 to 25lbs.
Higher BMI will cause the normal weight gain become lower. For BMI >30kg/m2 normal weight gain would be 11-20lbs

In your own words, explain what the summary equation tells you about cellular respiration.
Levart [38]

Answer:

Sugar plus oxygen reacts together into carbon dioxide, water, and energy.

Explanation:

What the RxN tells me is that we take in sugar as well as oxygen, combine them together and react, and in turn produce carbon dioxide, water, and energy.

This makes sense, because we eat food and breathe in oxygen, so those are our reactants. When we exhale, we breathe out carbon dioxide and we go use the restroom to get rid of excess H₂O. The energy produced is used for our bodily movements.
