Hey! :)

So essentially what the question is asking is, if she had $25.63 at the beginning of lunch, and spent 7 1/4 dollars during lunch, how much does she have now?

So, basically, you would subtract 7 1/4 dollars from $25.63

Our first step is to find out how much money 7 1/4 dollars is.

So, we know that there are 25 cents per fourth of a dollar, and 2 fourths is 1/2 of a dollar, so we know that because there are 25 cents in a 1/4 of a dollar, 7 1/4 is just 7 dollars and 25 cents.

7 1/4 = $7.25

So, our new question is :

$25.63 - $7.25 = ?

Line up your decimal points.

Subtract the decimal points first.

0.63 - 0.25 = 0.38

Then, subtract your whole numbers.

25 - 7 = 18

So, our answer is $18 whole dollars and 38 cents.

Written out as : $18.38

So, your answer is B) $18.38

~Hope I helped!~

Don't hesitate to ask questions. Asking questions is the way you learn! as for the question:
She started out with $25.63.
1/4 is .25 in decimal form, so lunch cost $7.25.
Subtract 7.25 from 25.63
Our answer is 18.38
Avery has $18.53 after lunch.

Harrizon [31]

Keep in mind that we're framing it based on what the first sentence says, which is "If the cost of a competing factor of production, such as a machine that also could do the job, rises".

So if the cost of getting a machine part, various parts, or the entire machine cost rises, then demand for the machine will go down. This will make employers seek out substitutes. In this case, those substitutes would be human labor. As employers demand for labor goes up, the wages will rise assuming the supply of workers is held constant. If the supply of workers increased, then you could argue the wages could go down. So that's why I'm assuming the supply is held in check.

Step-by-step explanation:

given that the  University of Montana ski team has seven entrants in a men's downhill ski event.

The coach would like the first, second, and third places to go to the team members.

Since one member can get only one place and order counts here we use permutation

No of ways the seven  team entrants achieve first, second, and third places

= 7P3

= 7(6)(5)\\= 210
