Answer:

Inverse

Explanation:

If l is the length of the string. The frequency of the vibrating string is given by :

f=\dfrac{1}{2l}\sqrt{\dfrac{T}{\mu}}..............(1)

Where

T is the tension in the string

\mu is the mass per unit length

It is clear from equation (1) that the frequency of the vibrating string is inversely proportional to the length of the string. So, String length and frequency have an inverse relationship.

What formula do I use for the second question? For number 3 how is one energy converted to the other? ( using arrows ) I get num
Fed [463]
<u>#2</u>
Use the formula ... Kinetic energy = (1/2) x (mass) x (speed)²

<u>#3 - a).</u>
sun => energy travels as electromagnetic waves => reaches Earth as
         heat & light energy.

sun => absorbed in plants => eaten by animals => animals die =>
       decay into oil in millions of years => we burn the oil to get the energy.

<u>#3 - b).</u>
food I ate for lunch => metabolized into glucose by my body
       => some of it burned in my muscles to generate energy for immediate needs
       => the rest of it stored as fat for future needs.

<u>#3 - c).</u>
flower pot rolls off the ledge => gravity does work on it all the way down,
       producing the kinetic energy it has when it hits the floor.

<u>#3 - d).</u>
oil or natural gas is burned, releasing heat energy => energy is used
       to generate electricity => electricity flows through cables from the
       power generating plant to your home => hot plate plugged into the
       wall => turns electrical energy back into heat energy => heat energy
       is conducted into the bottom of the beaker, flows through the glass
       to the inside surface => heat energy is conducted from the inside of
       the glass to the water, which gets hotter as it absorbs more energy.
=============================

<u>Note:</u>
#1 on the sheet is wrong.
"Work = force x distance"  that's correct
But 25-kg is the <em>mass</em> of the ball, <em>not </em>the gravitational <em>force </em>on it.
The force on it is (mass) x (gravity), called its "weight".
   That's (25-kg) x (9.8 m/s²) = 245 kg-m/s² = 245 newtons .

A car (mass = 1090 kg) is traveling at 30.4 m/s when it collides head-on with a sport utility vehicle (mass = 2880 kg) traveling
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

The sport utility vehicle was traveling at V2= 11.5 m/s.

Explanation:

m1= 1090 kg

V1= 30.4 m/s

m2= 2880 kg

V2= ?

m1*V1 = m2*V2

V2= (m1*V1)/m2

V2= 11.5 m/s

The bar ab has a velocity at point a of va = [20,9] m/s and an angular velocity w = 23 rad/s. If the distance between a and b is
DiKsa [7]

speed of point A is given as

v_a = 20.9 m/s

v_a = r*\omega

here r = distance from the axis

so here we have

20.9 = r*23

r  = 0.91 m

now the distance of point A and B is 0.71 m

while the distance of axis from point A is 0.91 m

so distance of axis from point B will be given as

r = 0.91 + 0.71 = 1.62 m

now for the speed of point b is given as

v = r \omega

v = 1.62 * 23

v = 37.26 m/s

so end point B will move with speed 37.26 m/s
