In 1426 AD Iztcoalt and his armies attacked and crushed the Tepanecs in a great battle. Other rulers followed a ruthless campaign of conquests to fulfill the glorious destiny of the Aztecs, the sons of the Sun God, who were the masters of the valley of Mexico.
