62 (divided by) 10 = 6.2

Now we know what 10% percent of 62 is. We need to find 45%. Well divide 6.2 by 2 to get 5 % of 62. (That would be 3.1). Now that we know 10% of 62 and 5% of 62 we are all set.

6.2 x 4 = 24.8

24.8 = 40%

3.1 + 24.8 = 27.9

27.9 = 45% of 62

The last answer was correct but a simpler way of solving is remembering that the word ‘of’ means multiplication so you can do 45% multiplied by 62 and you get 27.9 also
