A catalyst is a chemical that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself being changed by the reaction. The fact that they aren't changed by participating in a reaction distinguishes catalysts from substrates, which are the reactants on which catalysts work. Enzymes catalyze biochemical reactions.

Answer:

Relationship between the catalyst and enzyme:

Catalyst may be defined as the substance that can increase the rate of the chemical reaction. Catalyst do not change itself in the reaction. In the same way enzymes are bio catalyst that are used to increase the rate of the biochemical reaction.

The enzymes are generally made up of protein but it is not necessary that the catalyst is made of the protein. All enzymes can work acts as catalyst but all catalyst are not enzymes.

The empirical formula of metal iodide : CoI₃(Cobalt(III) Iodide)

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

13.02 g sample of Cobalt , then mol Co(MW=58.933 g/mol) :

\tt mol=\dfrac{mass}{Ar}=\\\\mol=\dfrac{13.02~g}{58.933}\\\\mol=0.221

Mass of metal iodide formed : 97.12 g, so mass of Iodine :

\tt =mass~metal~iodide-mass~Cobalt\\\\=97.12-13.02\\\\=84.1~g

Then mol iodine (MW=126.9045 g/mol) :

\tt \dfrac{84.1}{126.9045}=0.663

mol ratio of Cobalt and Iodine in the compound :

\tt 0.221\div 0.663=1\div 3

What orbital is represented by the transition metals in period four
andreev551 [17]

The name transition metal refers to the position in the periodic table of elements. The transition elements represent the successive addition of electrons to the d atomic orbitals of the atoms. In this way, the transition metals represent the transition between group 2 (2A) elements and group 13 (3A) elements.

How many neon atoms are contained in (7.27x10^2) grams of neon?
statuscvo [17]

Answer: 2.19x10^25 atoms

Explanation:

Molar Mass of Neon = 20g/mol

1mole(20g) of Neon contains 6.02x10^23 atoms.

Therefore, 7.27x10^2g of Neon will contain x atoms i.e

X atoms = (7.27x10^2x6.02x10^23)/20 = 2.19x10^25 atoms
