A catalyst is a chemical that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself being changed by the reaction. The fact that they aren't changed by participating in a reaction distinguishes catalysts from substrates, which are the reactants on which catalysts work. Enzymes catalyze biochemical reactions.

Answer:

Relationship between the catalyst and enzyme:

Catalyst may be defined as the substance that can increase the rate of the chemical reaction. Catalyst do not change itself in the reaction. In the same way enzymes are bio catalyst that are used to increase the rate of the biochemical reaction.

The enzymes are generally made up of protein but it is not necessary that the catalyst is made of the protein. All enzymes can work acts as catalyst but all catalyst are not enzymes.

<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is:

The new temperature will be equal to 4 K.

T_{2}=4K

<h2>Why?</h2>

We are given the volume, the first temperature and the new volume after the gas is compressed. To calculate the new temperature after the gas was compressed, we need to use Charles's Law.

Charles's Law establishes a relationship between the volume and the temperature at a gas while its pressure is constant.

Now, to calculate the new temperature we need to assume that the pressure is kept constant, otherwise, the problem would not have a solution.

From Charle's Law, we have:

\frac{V_{1}}{T_{1}}=\frac{V_{2}}{T_{2}}

So, we are given the following information:

V_{1}=500mL\\T_{1}=20K\\V_{2}=100mL

Then, isolating the new temperature and substituting the given information, we have:

\frac{V_{1}}{T_{1}}=\frac{V_{2}}{T_{2}}

T_{2}=\frac{T_{1}}{V_{1}}*V_{2} \\

T_{2}=\frac{20.00K}{500mL}*100mL\\

T_{2}=4K

Hence, the new temperature will be equal to 4 K.

T_{2}=4K

Have a nice day!

Water is known as the universal solvent. One reason water makes a good solvent is because it is composed of polar molecules. Wha
Flauer [41]

Answer: Option (C) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

A water molecule is made up of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Its molecular formula is H_{2}O.

It is known that hydrogen is electropositive in nature whereas oxygen is electronegative in nature. Therefore, oxygen will pull the electron of hydrogen towards itself as a result, there will be formation of partial positive charge on hydrogen and partial negative charge on oxygen atom.

Thus, the water molecule becomes polar. So, we can conclude that water molecule is a polar molecule because water molecules have a positive charge on one end and a negative charge on  the other.
