How to do long division

Mathematics
2 answers:

For example 20 divide by 5 you would see how many times 5 can go into 20 so then you realize 5 goes into 20, 4 times. So to do division you must figure out the reverse of it so you must know how to multiply. You start by multiplying 5 times 1 and until you reach your answer. If you have a times table sheet. You must follow the number being divided into the bigger number until you see the big number.

Hope this helps.<span />

What is the value of x in the equation 2.5 (6x - 4) = 10 + 4 (1.5 + 0.5x)
ioda

Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

2.5(6x-4) = 10 + 4 (1.5+0.5x)

First of all we will have to solve the parenthesis

(2.5)(6x)-(2.5)(4) = 10 + (4)(1.5)+(4)(0.5x)

15x-10 = 10+6+2x

We have to isolate x so that we can find its value

15x-10 = 16+2x

15x = 16+2x+10

15x-2x = 26

13x = 26

13x/13 = 26/13

x = 2 ..

Find the orthocenter of △ABC. A(2, 3), B(−4, −3), C(2, −3)
weqwewe [10]
ANSWER

\boxed { A. \: \: (2,-3) }

EXPLANATION.

The orthocenter is the point of intersection of any two altitudes of the triangle.

First, you need to determine the slope of each side of the triangle.

△ABC has vertices A(2, 3), B(−4, −3), C(2, −3).

slope \: of \: AB = \frac{3 - - 3}{2 - - 4} = \frac{6}{6} = 1

slope \: of \: AC = \frac{ 3 - - 3}{2 - 2} = \frac{6}{0}

This line has undefined slope, which means it is a vertical line.

slope \: of \: BC = \frac{ - 3 - - 3}{ 2 - - 4} = \frac{0}{6} = 0

The slope of this line is zero, meaning the line is a horizontal line.

This implies that side BC and side AC of the given triangle are perpendicular and will intersect at C since they are the altitudes of triangle ABC.

Hence the orthocentre is

(2,-3)
