Answer:

The Correct Answer is D.

Explanation:

  • As the Wind Blows it carry tiny particles of dust & sand and blasts big rocks with the abrasives particles, cutting and shaping the Rocks.
  • Winds carried sediments that get blown into other rocks causing them to chip and break.
  • Blowing Wind can carried away the particles of the rock which cause changes to the other landforms as particles collide with exposed rocks to form interesting shapes like a mushroom.

Hello!! WOW, what a coincidence! I just took this lesson and quiz yesterday, so the answer is still fresh in my mind!

The answer to your question is

D) Blowing sand can wear away a rock's surface and break it into smaller pieces

When wind blows, sure it can pick up dry soil and sand and relocate it, but that doesn't cause the weathering in rocks.

Wind doesn't create new landforms either, that comes from plate tectonic movements and other things.

I just eliminated B and C with the two sentences above, I really don't know how to eliminate A, just common sense i guess.

Please give me brainliest if I was correct and helpful!

Otherwise, please comment and let me know how I can fix my answer!

Thank you, it was fun, have a nice week!

what is the net yield of atp when palmitate (c16) is completely oxidized via the β-oxidation pathway? express answer as whole nu
wariber [46]

When palmitate (C16) completely oxidized, net yield is 129 ATP.

There are 7 β-oxidation cycles for palmitate to completely oxidazed.

One β-oxidation (beta-oxidation) cycle produces 1 NADH, 1 FADH2, and 1 acetyl CoA (sea the picture below).

For 7 cycles: 7 NADH, 7 FADH2,  and 8 acetyl CoA.

NADH and FADH2 enter Electron Transport System (ETS) cycle to generate 3ATP and 2ATP respectively.

Acetyl CoA enter into tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA) and each CoA gives 12 ATP.

7 NADH = 7 x 3 = 21 ATP

7 FADH2 = 7 x 2 = 14 ATP

8 acetyl-CoA = 8 x 12 = 96 ATP

Net yield of ATP = 21 ATP + 14 ATP + 96 ATP - 2 ATP (used during conversion of palmitic acid into palmitoyl CoA)

Net yield of ATP = 129 ATP

A runner averages 8 minutes and 25 seconds per mile. What is her average velocity in miles per hour?
labwork [276]

8 minutes and 25 seconds is the same as 8.25 in decimal form.

Divide by 60 minutes.

60 / 8.25 = 7.27 miles per hour
