Answer:

1022.485 Watt

Explanation:

resistance, R = 12 ohm

Inductive reactance, XL = 15 ohm

Capacitive reactance, Xc = 10 ohm

Vrms = 120 V

Power is given by

P = Vrms x Irms x CosФ

Where, CosФ is called power factor

CosФ = R / Z

Where Z is the impedance

Irms = Vrms / Z

So,

P = \frac{\left (V_{rms}^{2}\times R  \right )}{Z^{2}}

Z = \sqrt{R^2+\left ( X_{L}-X_{c} \right )^{2}}

Z = \sqrt{12^2+\left ( 15-10 \right )^{2}}

Z = 13 ohm

So,

P = \frac{\left (120^{2}\times 12  \right )}{13^{2}}

P = 1022.485 W

Thus, the power is 1022.485 Watt.

A speeding car is pulling away from a police car. The police car is moving at 30 m/s. The radar gun in the police car emits an e
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:

65.625 m/s

Explanation:

F=20\times 10^9 Hz

\Delta F=F_r-F_t=4750 Hz

c = Speed of light = 3×10⁸ m/s

Relative speed

v=\frac{\Delta F}{2F}\times c\\\Rightarrow v=\frac{4750}{2\times 20\times 10^9}\times 3\times 10^8\\\Rightarrow v=35.625\ m/s

Relative speed = 35.625 m/s

Velocity of speeder = Velocity of police car + Relative speed

⇒Velocity of speeder = 30 + 35.625 = 65.625 m/s

∴ Velocity of speeder is 65.625 m/s

The sound level at 1.0 m from a certain talking person talking is 60 dB. You are surrounded by five such people, all 1.0 m from
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

66.98 db

Explanation:

We know that

L_T=L_S+10log(n)

L_T= Total signal level in db

n= number of sources

L_S= signal level from signal source.

L_T=60+10 log(5)

= 66.98 db
