If the pancreas stopped working, your body wouldnt be able to process sugar.

Explanation:

The pancreas secretes insulin to your body. Insulin is what balances your sugar levels so that you dont have sugar spikes and it sends the insulin to the stomach so that the sugar is balanced before it reaches the intestines. If it stopped working, your intestines would suddenly absorb all the sugar which would cause an extremely high blood sugar level.
