Analysis

The hopeful tone of Act II changes dramatically at the beginning of Act III as Romeo becomes embroiled in the brutal conflict between the families. The searing heat, flaring tempers, and sudden violence of this scene contrast sharply with the romantic, peaceful previous night. The play reaches a dramatic crescendo as Romeo and Juliet's private world clashes with the public feud with tragic consequences. Romeo appears and Tybalt insults him, hoping he will respond to the challenge, but Romeo refuses because he is now related to Tybalt through his marriage to Juliet. Mercutio, disgusted by Romeo's reluctance to fight, answers Tybalt's insults on Romeo's behalf.

Tybalt and Mercutio draw their swords and fight. To stop the battle, Romeo steps between them and Tybalt stabs Mercutio under Romeo's arm. Mercutio's wound is fatal and he dies crying "A plague o' both your houses!" Blinded by rage over Mercutio's death, Romeo attacks Tybalt and kills him.

Romeo is forced to flee a mob of citizens as the Prince, the heads of the two households, and their wives appear at the scene. After Benvolio gives an account of what has happened, the Prince banishes Romeo from Verona under the penalty of death and orders Lords Montague and Capulet to pay a heavy fine.

In which sentence does the author most clearly define his argument the goal of sending a man to the moon
sweet [91]

Hello. You forgot to put the part of the speech that the question is referring to. The speech part is:

"if we are to win the battle that is now going on around the world between freedom and tyran occurred in recent weeks should have made clear to us all the impact of this adventure on them efforts in space have been under review. with the advice of the vice president, we have examine we may succeed and where we may not. now it is time to take longer strides-time for a great a clearly leading role in space achievement. this in many ways may hold the key to our future on recognizing the head start obtained by the soviets with their large rocket engines, we nevert own. for while we cannot guarantee that we shall one day be first, we can guarantee that any fa additional risk by making it in full view of the world, but this very risk enhances our stature whe whatever mankind must undertake, free men must fully share. "

Answer:

"this in many ways may hold the key to our future on recognizing the head start obtained by the soviets with their large rocket engines, we nevert own."

Explanation:

The above sentence reinforces the argument of the author of the speech, on why the government should invest in the space race. This is because the phrase shows that the author believes that it is in the space race that this is the key to success in the battle against the Soviet Union. For the author, the investment in the space race would give strength to the USA and establish its power as a potential to be followed and admired.

Answer:

B. your predictions about the story

Explanation:

Option A cannot be the answer because stories are written for entertainment, not to inform readers about a particular subject.

Option B is the answer; readers tend to make up predictions about the story in their mind just by reading the title, after reading the story, their predictions most certainly will be changed.

Option C cannot be the answer because the narrator of the story can simply not be changed just by reading the story.

Option D cannot be the answer as a reader cannot change the title of a book, only the writer can.
