The first shape, or the triangle with its longest side bordering the line, could have created this three-dimensional object.

When a  body is rotating, there is a line that all the parts are turning about.  The parts farther away from that line travel on larger circle around that line, so they are moving faster.  Parts closer to the line follow smaller circles and move more slowly as a result.  Points right on the line do not travel at all.

On the diagram you can see the greatest circle, formed by rotation. The points that form this circle are at the greatest distance from the axis of rotation. So you can see that only first or second options are true. But the second one is false, because the figure is not symmetric and therefore, formed shape must not be symmetric too.

Answer: correct option is A.

<h3><u>Given</u><u> </u><u>:</u></h3>

  • Length = \sf2\dfrac{5}{6} cm.
  • Breadth = \sf4\dfrac{4}{7} cm.

<h3><u>To</u><u> </u><u>Find</u><u> </u><u>:</u></h3>

The area of rectangle.

<h3><u>Solution</u><u> </u><u>:</u></h3>

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

\sf=2\dfrac{5}{6}\times4\dfrac{4}{7}

\sf=\dfrac{17}{6}\times\dfrac{25}{7}

\sf=\dfrac{17\times25}{6\times7}

\sf=\dfrac{425}{42}

<h3>Answer: C) nonmetal</h3>

This element has 8 protons, so element is oxygen. I recommend looking at the periodic table of elements. At standard temperature and pressure (STP), oxygen is a gas, so that puts it in the nonmetal category.

Side note: Metalloids are a collection of elements where they share properties of metals and nonmetals (in a way they're on the fence).

Solve: -1/4 (2x + 8) = -6
vredina [299]

Answer:

x = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

-1/4 (2x + 8) = -6

Multiply both sides by -4.

2x + 8 = 24

Subtract 8 from both sides.

2x = 16

Divide both sides by 2.

x = 8
