To answer this, our goal here is to find the 2 points that would make our third line. So it is said in the problem that the line passes through the red line at y= 0. What value of x at y = 0 that it would lie on the red line? It must be negative 4 (-4) (check the graph to confirm) Ask the same question to the blue line but this time the value of y is to be obtained. Once you have that you will have 2 point then use this formula to get the slope:

slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) where y2 and x2 are the coordinates in the blue line. and x2 and x1, the red line.

The value of the bike after a year becomes only 80% of the value a year ago. In this given, the initial amount $500 should be multiplied by 80% 5 times. The answer would be $163.84. Thus, after 5 years the dirt bike would only be $163.84.

Undercoverage might lead to bias in this study due to the risk of collecting data from a small number of people who feel strongly about the research study in this scenario.

What is Undercoverage bias?

This refers to a type of sampling bias which occurs when the research population aren't adequately represented in the study.

This type of sampling involves getting data from a selected few people who may have the same opinion or view about the study which doesn't depict the true representation of the population.

This makes the study to be biased which is why undercoverage is usually avoided when conducting a research.
