The width of park is \frac{7}{4} miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Area of park  = \frac{7}{8}\ square\ miles

Length of park = \frac{4}{8}\ mile

Let,

w be the width of park.

Area = Length * Width

\frac{7}{8}=\frac{4}{8}w

Multiplying both sides by \frac{8}{4}

\frac{8}{4}*\frac{7}{8}=\frac{8}{4}*\frac{4}{8}w\\\frac{7}{4}=w\\w=\frac{7}{4}\ mile

The width of park is \frac{7}{4} miles.

Setler79 [48]

Answer:

25 more hours

Step-by-step explanation:

First you need to make an equation

200+12x=500

Then you solve it by:

Subtracting 200 from both sides

12x=300

Then divide both sides by 12

x=25

Then you can check your answer by plugging in the number

200+12x25=500

Hope this helps

Um can someone help please and <br> thanks
Hitman42 [59]
You can use the pythagorean theorem
15^2 = 225
17^2 = 289
225 + b^2 = 289
b^2 = 64
b = 8

so one half of one side is 8 so the whole side would be 16

hope this helps

The circumference of a pool is 47 feet. Which formula can you use if you know that C =2 pie r
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

We use formula, circumference= 2\pi r to get r= 7.48

Step-by-step explanation:

Here is the complete question: The circumference of a pool is 47 feet. Which formula can you use to find Radius (r), if you know that C =2πr.

Given: Circumference= 47 feet.

We will use formula of circumference to find radius (r) as given.

Circumference = 2\pi r

⇒ 47\ feet= 2\times 3.14\times r (∵ we know π=3.14)

Cross multiplying both side to get r.

⇒ r= \frac{37}{2\times 3.14} = 7.48

∴ radius (r)= 7.48

∴ We will use circumference formula 2\pi r to find Radius (r).

GREYUIT [131]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given triangle has its vertices at points A(-4,-2), B(1,3) and C(3,-2).

Find all sides lengths:

AC=\sqrt{(-4-3)^2+(-2-(-2))^2}=\sqrt{(-7)^2+(0)^2}=\sqrt{49+0}=\sqrt{49}=7\ units\\ \\AB=\sqrt{(-4-1)^2+(-2-3)^2}=\sqrt{(-5)^2+(-5)^2}=\sqrt{25+25}=5\sqrt{2}\ units\\ \\BC=\sqrt{(1-3)^2+(3-(-2))^2}=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(5)^2}=\sqrt{4+25}=\sqrt{29}\ units

The longest side is AB.

By the Pythagorean theorem,

AB^2=AC^2+BC^2\\ \\(5\sqrt{2})^2=7^2+\sqrt{29}^2\\ \\50=49+29\\ \\50=78

This is false statemnt, so this triangle is not right triangle.
