A 100% increase followed by a 50% decrease
just olya [345]

Answer:

We end up with our original number

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be our number

We increase by 100

increase = old number * 100%

increase = x*1

increase = x

New number = old number + increase

                       = x+x

                         =2x

Now we decrease by 50%

decrease = number *50%

                = 2x*.5

                =x

Final number = new number - decrease

                       = 2x-x

                         =x

Math question need help please
stiks02 [169]

Answer: 190ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Side a= 110ft

Side b= ?

Height= 75ft

Area= 11,250ft^2

A=\frac{a+b}{2}h

Solve for b. Let's begin by multiplying by 2 to get rid of the denominator.

2A=(a+b)h

Divide by h

\frac{2A}{h}=a+b

Subtract a

\frac{2A}{h}-a=b

Now plug in your values.

b=\frac{2A}{h}-a

b=\frac{2(11,250ft^2)}{75ft}- 110ft

b=\frac{22500ft^2}{75ft}- 110ft

b=300ft- 110ft

b=190ft
