Amplitude of vibration is the maximum displacement of an object that has been moved from one point to another due to a vibrating body or its wave measured from an equilibrium position. In short, it is the distance of the object that moved from the vibration.

What scenarios best describes how the hawaiian islands formed in the pacific ocean?
love history [14]

Answer:

Magma generated from a hot spot burned through the overlying plate to create volcanoes.

Explanation:

The Earth’s outer crust is made up of a series of tectonic plates that move over the surface of the planet. In areas where the plates come together, volcanoes will form in most cases. Volcanoes could also form in the middle of a plate, where magma rises upward until it erupts on the seafloor which is called a hot spot.

Hawaiian Islands were formed by such a hot spot occurring in the middle of the Pacific Plate. While the hot spot itself is fixed, the plate is moving. As the plate moved over the hot spot, the string of islands that make up the Hawaiian Island were formed.

A particle experiences a constant acceleration for 12 second after starting from rest. If it travels a distance s1 in the first
pentagon [3]

Answer:

The last option is correct

ΔT1 = 4 sec       ΔT2 = 4 sec          ΔT3 = 4 sec

S = V0 t + 1/2 a t^2

S1 = 1/2 a t^2 = 8 a      where V0 is the speed at the start of the interval

During any interval (of 4 sec) the particle travels 1/2 a t^2 = 8 a    due to its acceleration - and you need to include the speed at the start of  the interval

S1 = 8a

S2 = 8 a + 8 a = 16 a

S3 = 16 a + 8 a = 24 a

Note: V2 = V1 + a t       for any interval

V2 - V1 = V1 + a t - V1 = a t

and a = (V2 - V1) / t = a   the speed increase is constant during the interval
