Total length of the wood = 90 centimeter.
Length of the first cut wood = 23.5 centimeters
Length of the second cut wood = 33.3 centimeters
Length of the third cut wood = 19.45 centimeters.
Total length of the woods cut
from the original piece = 23.5 + 33.3 + 19.45 centimeters
                                    = 76.25 centimeters
Amount of original board
that remains after Jesse makes his cuts = 90 - 76.25 centimeters
                                                                = 13.75 centimeters

Evaluate the sum
A. 306
B. 240
C. 360
D. 272
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

Option D. 272

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

To evaluate the sum , use the formula

S=\frac{1}{2}(a1+an)n

where

a1 is the first term

an is the last term

n is the number of terms

In this problem

For n=1 ------> a1=2(1)=2

For n=16 ------> an=2(16)=32

n=16 terms

substitute in the formula

S=\frac{1}{2}(2+32)16

S=272

PLS SQDANCEFAN. PLEASE SHOW ALL WORK!!! A bag contains 27 coins, all of which are either quarters or dimes. If their total value
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

There are 19 quarters and 8 dimes.

Step-by-step explanation:

We will let x denote the amount of quarters.

Since there are 27 coins in total, (27-x) will be the amount of dimes there are.

Since each quarter is worth $0.25, the total value of quarters is given by 0.25x.

And since each dime is worth $0.10, the total value of dimes is given by 0.1(27-x).

We know that the total value of all 27 coins is $5.55. So, we can write the following equation:

0.25x+0.1(27-x)=5.55

So, we will determine the value of x, the amount of quarters there are.

First, let’s multiply everything by 100 to remove the decimals. So:

100(0.25x+0.1(27-x))=100(5.55)

Distribute:

25x+10(27-x)=555

Distribute:

25x+270-10x=555

Combine like terms:

15x+270=555

Subtract 270 from both sides:

15x=285

Divide both sides by 15:

x=19

So, the value of x is 19.

This means that there are 19 quarters.

So, the amount of dimes must be 27-19 or 8 dimes.

Parallelogram WXYZ.

WX = 13x + 15
YZ = 19x - 9

Find the values of x and y.
sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

Step-by-step

sum of the adjacent angles of parallelogram is supplementary.

Therefore,

Q + R = 180°

4y+7 + 10y-37 = 180°

14y - 30° = 180°

14y = 210°

y = 210°/14

y = 15°
