Answer:

f(x) = x^{3} - 5x^{2} + 7x - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

If the polynomial has one root as 1 + i, it's conjugate 1 - i will also be its root.

Therefore, the polynomial has roots 1 + i, 1 - i, and 3.

So, the polynomial function of lowest degree with rational coefficients will be

f (x) = (x - 3)(x - 1 - i)(x - 1 + i)

⇒ f(x) = (x - 3)[ x^{2} - 2x + (1 + i)(1 - i)]

⇒f(x) = (x - 3)(x^{2} - 2x + 2)

⇒ f(x) = x^{3} - 5x^{2} + 7x - 3 (Answer)

natita [175]

Answer:

B: Survey 3 randomly selected students from every homeroom.

Step-by-step explanation:

This would be the best way to survey, because all the others have some sort of variable. The principle doesn't know who buys lunch and who doesn't, so why would he just ask kids who ride in a car as there are kids who ride buses, or only 7th grade students, so the best answer would be something that everyone has, like homeroom.

I did the math, which wasn't too hard if you knew how to solve it.

There will be 14 roses, which is worth $28. 14($2)

And finally there will be 17 daisies, which is worth $17. 17($1)

$28+$17=$45
