Answer:

p = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

3p (3p - 8) - 8 = 9p (p - 3) + 4

9p² - 24p - 8 = 9p² - 27p + 4

3p = 12

p = 4

Answer:

p= \frac{-8}{33}

Explanation:

Given:

3p (3p - 8) - 8 = 9p ( p - 3 + 4)

To Find:

Value of p=?

Solution:

Before solving this equation,  we will use the method of BODMAS which states that we first solve the Bracket then Off then Division then Multiplier then addition and at last subtraction.

Now we will solve the both right and left hand side of the equation

3p (3p - 8) - 8 = 9p ( p - 3 + 4)

9p^2-24p-8=9p^2+9p

Gruoping the like terms we get,

9p^2-9p^2-24p-9p=8

After solving the both right hand and left hand side of the equation

-33p=8

And we get the value of p as

p= \frac{-8}{33}

PLEASE HELP!!! What is the slope parallel to 5x + y = 3, please show me step by step, will give the brainliest for this answer.
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

-5

Step-by-step explanation:

First, put the equation into the form y = mx +b (where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept)

This would look like:

5x + y = 3\\y = -5x + 3

This means the slope is -5.

Parallel lines always have the same slope, so the slope of the parallel line is also -5

5/6 + 2/3 HELP PLZ I got 1 and 1/2 and i did i again and i got 1 and 2/3 Plz help
miskamm [114]
2/3 = 4/6 after we multiply top and bottom by 2 (2*2 = 4, 2*3 = 6)

So we can turn
5/6 + 2/3
into
5/6 + 4/6
Then add the numerators to get 5+4 = 9

So 5/6 + 4/6 = 9/6 which reduces to 3/2 (divide both parts by 3)

The last thing to do is convert 3/2 into a mixed number. If you use long division you'll find that 3 divided by 2 = 1 remainder 1

Or you can think of it like this
3/2 = (2+1)/2 = 2/2 + 1/2 = 1 + 1/2 = 1&1/2

So the final answer, as a mixed number, is 1 & 1/2
Whole part = 1
Fraction part = 1/2

A right triangle is removed from a rectangle to create the shaded region shown below
Strike441 [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the original rectangle=7×9 m²

=63m²

Let triangle removed be named as ∆ABC right angle at B, AB=(9-6)m = 3m

BC=(7-2)m =5m

area of ∆ABC= 1/2 ×3×5=7.5m²

area of the shaded region = (63-7.5)m²

= 55.5m²
