The volleyball team and the wrestling team at Weston High School are having a joint car wash today, and they are splitting the r

evenues. The volleyball team gets $4 per car. In addition, they have already brought in $9 from past fundraisers. The wrestling team has raised $101 in the past, and they are making $3 per car today. After washing a certain number of cars together, each team will have raised the same amount in total. How many cars will that take? What will that total be?

After washing 92 cars, both teams will have same amount.

The total will be $377.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Amount raised in past by Volleyball team = $9

Revenue generated per car = $4

Let,

c be the number of cars.

T be be funds raised

T = 4c + 9      Eqn 1

Amount raised by Wrestling team = $101

Revenue generated per car = $3

T = 3c+101      Eqn 2

For same amount;

Eqn 1 = Eqn 2

4c+9=3c+101\\4c-3c=101-9\\c=92

After washing 92 cars, both teams will have same amount.

Putting c=92 in Eqn 1 and 2

T=4(92)+9\\T=368+9\\T=377

T=3(92)+101\\T=276+101\\T=377

The total will be $377.

If BE−→− bisects ∠ABD and m∠ABD = 66°, find m∠ABE
Monica [59]

Answer:

m∠ABD = 132 °

Step-by-step explanation:

m∠ABE = m∠DBE

and

m∠ABD = m∠ABE + m∠DBE

Because m∠ABE = 66°, therefore m∠DBE = 66°, so that

m∠ABD = 66° + 66° = 132°

PLS HELP MEEE PICTURE BELOW
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

h = 3.6

Step-by-step explanation:

This is just substituting in for variables and solving for x. The hard part is knowing the formula.

R = h((a+b)/2) where a and b are the 2 different bases, h is the height or latitude, and R is the area of a trapezoid, is the formula.

Given that R = 8.1, a = 1 and b = 3.5, we can substitute these equations in the formula.

(8.1) = h(((1) + (3.5)) / 2)

= h((4.5) / 2)

= h(2.25)

8.1/2.25 = h

3.6 = h

Tier: Homework 1<br> Solve 2(4y - 5) = 14 983
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

y = 1874.25

Step-by-step explanation:

2(4y - 5) = 14 983

2*4y + 2*-5 = 14983

8y - 10 = 14983

8y = 14983 + 10

8y = 14993

y = 14993/8

y = 1874.25

Solve for x -3x+6=2x-24
ozzi

Answer:

7.5 or 15/2

Step-by-step explanation:

x-3x+6=2x-24 -- Combine like terms

-2x+6=2x-24 -- Add 2x to each side

6 = 4x-24 -- add 24 to each side

30 = 4x -- divide by 4

15/2 or 7.5 = x
