I believe that paleomagnetism was a key to determining that the seafloors were spreading since the paleomagnetism changes at certain geological intervals so that stripes of new rock with the youngest paleomagnetism would be right at the mid-ocean trenches and successively would be older the further they are from the trench, ie on either side of it, symmetrically.

Answer: First off, this makes us dependent on something that is finite. Non-renewable resources such as fossil fuels will eventually run out due to the fact that the dead organisms that have been undergoing the process of becoming carbon (more or less) for millions of years won't have anything to replenish them. Along with that, environmental problems occur like we all are seeing in the United Kingdom and even in the US.
