Answer:

Eigenvalue: 0

Eigenvalue: 3

Step-by-step explanation:

For any nxn matrix A, the eigenvalues of A are the y values that respect the following conditions

det(A - yI) = 0, where I is the order n identity matrix.

So A = [1 2; 1 2], I = [1 0; 0 1] yI = [y 0; 0 y]. In this notation, i have ; as a new line.

A - yI = [1-y 2; 1 2-y]

det(A - yI) = (1-y)*(2-y) - 2 = 0

                = 2 - y - 2y + y² - 2 = 0

                = y² - 3y = 0

                = y(y-3) = 0

                y = 0 or y - 3 = 0

                              y = 3

Solve for x on each of these questions please!
IgorLugansk [536]

Answer:

1. x = 10

2. x = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

I use the angle ABC method:

AB² + AC² = BC²

6² + 8² = x²

x = 10

AB² + AC² = BC²

3² + x² = 5²

x = 4

Triangle OWL was rotated to create triangle O'W'L'. Describe the transformation using details and degrees.
Alisiya [41]
I believe this is a rotation through an angle of +90°, anticlockwise, (counterclockwise), with the center of rotation origin(0,0)
To describe rotation we give the center of rotation and the rotation angle in degrees stating whether it is clockwise or counterclockwise.

Answer:

y = 6x

Step-by-step explanation:

You can easily find the slope by using slope formula:

(y2-y1) / (x2-x1) (the numbers are subscript)

E.g: (24-12) / (4-2) = 12/2 = 6

m(slope) = 6

Hope this helped :)

(You can also check if it’s correct by inputting the coords into the equation, seeing if all solutions are aplicable).
