Organisms that live in the ocean experience harsh weather conditions under the water and require lots of fat to cheap them warm due to the cold temperature. Examples are sea gulls, sharks, whales, penguins, seals etc. Without the fat underneath their skins, they won't survive the weather condition there. Likewise they can't survive outside that environment due to several factors but also the fat in them would also make it difficult to survive warmer temperatures.
