A Ferrari is heading south at a constant speed on Broadway (a north/south street) at the same time a Mercedes is heading west on

Aloha Avenue (an east/west street). The Ferrari is 624 feet north of the intersection of Broadway and Aloha, at the same time that the Mercedes is 400 feet east of the intersection. Assume the Mercedes is traveling at the constant speed of 32 miles/hour.
Find the speed of the Ferrari so that a collision occurs in the intersection of Broadway and Aloha.

Answer:

49.92 miles/hour

Step-by-step explanation:

32 miles/hour = 32 * 5280 = 168960 ft/hour

For the collision to occur, both cars must arrive at the intersection at the same time.

The time it takes for the Mercedes to travel 400 feet at the rate of 168960 ft/hour is 400 / 168960 = 0.002367 hours

So the Ferrari should take the same time to travel 624 feet as well, its speed would be

624 / 0.002367 = 263577.6 ft/hour or 263577.6 / 5280 = 49.92 miles/hour

How many degrees is angle x
agasfer [191]

Answer:

The degrees of angle x is 180 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the value of all angles within a triangle must equal 180 degrees, if you know at least two angles, you can subtract them from 180 to find the missing third angle. If you are working with equilateral triangles, divide 180 by three to find the value of x.
