This indicator becomes colored when the solution is no longer acidic.
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

Is pink in base solution, it provides a visual signal that a solution has changed from acid to a base, is colorless in acid solution.

Explanation:

As all the indicator, phenolphtalein has the property that turns pink when the solution that you have reaches a value of a pH of 9 or above. From 0 to 8 in a pH scale, is colorless. This point in which an indicator changes is it called equivalence point.

What does ph measure? 6. msg behaves as a buffer. what is a buffer? 7. if we are interested in understanding how msg behaves as
Ket [755]

1. Answer;

- pH of a solution is the measures of molar concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution.

Explanation;

-pH is a measure of how acidic/basic  a substance is. The range goes from 0 - 14, with 7 being neutral. pHs of less than 7 indicate acidity, whereas a pH of greater than 7 indicates a base. pH is really a measure of the relative amount of free hydrogen and hydroxyl ions in a substance.

-The pH value states the relative quantity of hydrogen ions (H+) contained in a solution. The greater the concentration of H+ the more acidic the solution and the lower the pH.

2. Answer;

Buffer is a substance that minimizes change in concentrations of H+ and OH- in a solution.

Explanation;

-A buffer solution is an aqueous solution consisting of a mixture of a weak acid and its conjugate base, or vice versa.

-A buffer can resist pH change upon the addition of an acidic or basic components. It is able to neutralize small amounts of added acid or base, thus maintaining the pH of the solution relatively stable.

3. Answer;

By combining the two substances, we can analyze how the buffers react and stabilize the pH in the solution

Explanation;

- We found out that MSG was a buffer, and since it was a buffer more hydrogen ions is added to the solution. When we added it to the solution, it became a solid, which was what precipitated.

-There were a lot of Hydrogen protons floating around and with the MSG precipitate, we have all of these floating hydrogen and hydroxide ions. These hydrogens and hydroxide ions attach to the MSG, and the extra hydrogens would help to form the precipitate.
