Answer:

Carlos bought 80 feet of wire for $17.60.

Then the price for 1 feet of wire is 17.6/80 = 0.22

=> 30 feet of wire would cost: 30 x 0.22 = 6.6

Hope this helps!

NikAS [45]
9 + h = 55/5
9 + h = 11
11 - 9 = h
2 = h

The opposite of addition is subtraction, Subtract 9 from both sides, The opposite of multiplication is division, divide both sides by 5 is the first step, and final answer is h = 2.

Have you ever been at the grocery store and stood, staring, at two different sizes of the same item wondering which one is the better deal? If so, you are not alone. A UNIT RATE could help you out when this happens and make your purchasing decision an easy one.

In this lesson, you will learn what UNIT RATES are and how to apply them in everyday comparison situations. Click the links below and complete the appropriate sections of the Unit Rates handout.

Find an equation for the line that passes through the points (-5,-5) and (1,4)
Andreas93 [3]

The general line through (a,b) and (c,d) is

(c-a)(y-b)=(d-b)(x-a)

Here that's

(1 - - 5)(y - - 5) = (4 - -5)(x - - 5)

6(y+5)=9(x+5)

6y + 30 = 9x + 45

-15 = 9x - 6y

3x - 2y = -5

Answer: 3x - 2y = -5

We could put that in slope intercept form,

2y = 3x + 5

y = (3/2) x + 5/2

Answer: y = (3/2) x + 5/2
