This is because these species of butterflies has two variant of enzymes.which makes them well adapted to the varied range of temperature exposed to in this habitat, and therefore ensures their activity at wide temperature ranges.

Generally, rock mountains has wide range of temperature. Therefore the possession of variant of enzymes ensures sustainable of biochemical reactions for survival of  theses species <u>because of the resistance of these enzymes to high varied  rocky temperature.</u>
