Answer:

  W= 27 KJ

Explanation:

Given that

Spring constant ,K= 6 KN/cm

K= 6 x  10⁷ N/m

Displacement ,x= 3 cm = 0.03 m

The work done is given as

W=\dfrac{1}{2}Kx^2

K=Spring constant

x=Displacement

Now by putting the values in the above equation

W=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 6\times 10^7\times (0.03)^2

W=27000 J

The work done in KJ is given as

W= 27 KJ                   ( 1 K = 1000 )

Therefore the answer will be 27 KJ.

Explain the relationship between brightness and distance. Explain by relating the brightness of the light to the energy of the l
Iteru [2.4K]

Answer:

What part of the light wave is related to the brightness of the light?

Amplitude

The amplitude of a wave tells us about the intensity or brightness of the light relative to other light waves of the same wavelength

The brightness of light is related to intensity or the amount of light an object emits or reflects. Brightness depends on light wave amplitude, the height of light waves. Brightness is also somewhat influenced by wavelength.

Question 2 (5 points)
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

Frequency of sound wave = 198.83 hertz (Approx.)

Explanation:

Given:

Velocity of sound wave in air = 340 m/s

Wavelength = 1.71 meter

Find:

Frequency of sound wave

Computation:

Frequency = Velocity / Wavelength

Frequency of sound wave = Velocity of sound wave in air / Wavelength

Frequency of sound wave = 340 / 1.71

Frequency of sound wave = 198.8304

Frequency of sound wave = 198.83 hertz (Approx.)

A small segment of wire contains 10 nC of charge. The segment is shrunk to one-third of its original length. A proton is very fa
Alik [6]

To solve this problem we will apply the concepts related to the electric field, linear charge density and electrostatic force.

The electric field is

E = \frac{\lambda}{2\pi \epsilon_0 r}

Here,

\lambda= Linear charge density

\epsilon_0 = Permittivity of free space

r = Distance

The linear charge density can be written as,

Linear charge density is given as

\lambda = \frac{q}{L}

Replacing,

E = \frac{\frac{q}{L}}{2\pi \epsilon_0 r}

E = \frac{q}{2\pi \epsilon_0 rL}

The initial and final electric Force can be written as function of the charge and the electric field as

F_i = E_i q

F_f = E_f q

If we replace the value for the electric field we have,

F_i = (\frac{q}{2\pi \epsilon_0 rL})q = (\frac{q^2}{2\pi \epsilon_0 rL})

Length is one third at the end, then

F_f = (\frac{q}{2\pi \epsilon_0 r(L/3)})q = (\frac{3q^2}{2\pi \epsilon_0 rL})

The ratio of the force is

\frac{F_f}{F_i} = \frac{(\frac{3q^2}{2\pi \epsilon_0 rL})}{(\frac{q^2}{2\pi \epsilon_0 rL})}

\frac{F_f}{F_i} = 3

Therefore the required ratio is 3
